Best Golf App for all the right reasons especially if you have kids who play.

I started using the grunt app in May of 2025. Now almost a full year later and almost 200 rounds I can’t say more good things about it. If you read the other reviews, it does everything they say so well. But the one thing that makes it the killer app for me is the social aspect. Sure I keep a jealous eye for when my friends play without me, but if you have kids that play golf this is by far the best app ever. I have three golf playing teenage boys aged 16,14, and 13. Every time they go to play I can watch h their progress hole by hole. See every up and down and it’s like I’m there in real time. My oldest boys play on their highschool varsity golf teams and unlike other sports I can’t often watch them compete, but to see their daily progress no matter where I am is a functionality that makes this the best golf app out there. Do I love the fact that I can do 99% of everything from my watch and don’t have to pick up my phone. Yes, yes I do. Did I leave my last golf app because of user hostile interface. Yes to that as well. Does this app do everything just the way it should. As a matter of fact it does. But would I ever give up the ability to follow along my sons and friends golf rounds… and maybe jeer or cheer a little too… never. Great app, great tech support, great user interface, great stats, great tools, but also great social connection functionality. Ask yourself this question, if you’re not using the app, has the app you are using ever led to a friend calling you to talk about your last round? To congratulate you on a personal best round? If not, you might consider getting a higher level golf app.

Long Time User - BEST Golf App in the BUSINESS ‼️

Been using TheGrint since 2019! Was the first of my friends to use it. The minute I showed anyone, immediately hooked! Got my whole golf league on it now and it’s a great way to stay connected with friends with their live score tracking feature! Highly recommend!!

Top Notch

Signed up for GHIN for the first time this season, and it’s so convenient to have scores integrated with this app an the WHS. Love the stats features and ease of use while on the course. Very clean app interface.

Switched from 18 Birdies

Ive recently switched from 18 birdies because it has some features that I like. You can link your grunt app to your USGA Gin and scores automatically transfer keep you from having to enter in both apps. Love all the features it has to offer. Really like the option to post your score with a picture with all your stats. Just kinda cool. Also like the fact that you can bundle your grunt subscription with your USGA GIN subscription and save a little coin. Only thing I wish the app has is a simple option to track your approach shots to the green. Left, right, short, long. I will continue to use the app but do hope to see this option in the near future as this is the only thing 18 birdies has on this app. Thanks for a great product.

Great App. Needs IPad

The app is great. I find it very easy to navigate and operate. My Apple Watch works great with it. Even the free App has a lot of features. They need to add full IPad native support. I like using a much larger screen instead of my tiny iPhone screen.
