Golf Hole Of The Week! (Aug 26th, 2014)

Golf Hole Of The Week!

Par 5 – 18th Hole – TPC Boston

Are you ready for a great finish? This Golf Hole certainly give us that!

TPC Boston was named in 2002 by Golf Digest magazine as one of the “Top 10 Best New Private Clubs in the U.S”. This club was first designed by Arnold Palmer, and it was re-designed in 2007 by Gil Hanse; it currently has 58 bunkers and 7,241 yards.

The 18th green was renovated in 2011 and the new design was revealed to the public in 2012. The par 5 now has a smaller and elevated green that is protected by a green-side bunker.

Players have the option to carry two bunkers in the middle of the fairway and leave themselves a chance to reach the green with a fairway wood. or for the longer hitters, they could carry the right fairway bunker around 320 yards, giving themselves a mid-iron approach and a chance to make Eagle. The players choosing to lay-up on their second shot still need to avoid a bunker in the center of the fairway.

We will see everything here… There will be plenty of birdies, bogeys, and heartbreaks on this finishing hole.
