For years, GPS has been the backbone of golf apps. It’s what players open first when they get to the course. It’s how they make smarter decisions, pick the right club, and avoid trouble.
But there are some common problems we've learned from talking to our users when it comes to not only our own GPS, but across golf apps in general:

Years ago, simply having GPS in a golf app at a majority of courses was a game changer. Today, having a GPS is expected. And yet, no one has taken the time to rethink what GPS could really be.
So we set out to do just that.
We completely re-imagined GPS from the ground up. And it is LIVE in the app now once you update to our latest version.

With TheGrint’s new GPS, you can now personalize everything. Choose the tools, widgets, and features you actually use. Leave out the rest.

When you open GPS on TheGrint, you’ll immediately notice a fresh, modern interface.
On the right side of the screen, tap the "+" button on the GPS Toolbar. This is where the magic happens.

To use tools while you play, simply tap the icon in the GPS toolbar on the right hand side.
By the way, we completely re-imagined the entire Shot Tracker, making it way more intuitive and modern. Track shots like never before, see 3D parabolas of your tracked shots (great for sharing to social media or in group chats with friends), and edit or discard shots as needed. It also syncs with the Smartwatch app so if you track shots there, you'll see them here.
TheGrint's GPS 2.0 enables you to set up the GPS to the way YOU like to use it. Ignore the clutter and stop being distracted by the endless bells and whistles that are normally shoved on top of your screen, or dial in the tools and widgets that fit your needs.
Your setup will be saved so each time you fire up the app, it looks and behaves how you left it. And you can change this at any time and it will save automatically.
We also completed a full design update of the score tracking functionality. This includes the look of the score tracker, as well as the user experience and accessibility of certain features.
Not only is the classic score tracker revamped, but we also built this same functionality inside the GPS.
That means your GPS screen is now equipped to be the central point of your entire round - not only for course management, but for keeping score.
This was available previously, but it was not super intuitive. Now, you get all the info you need from the scorecard and score tracker, and don't even need to leave the GPS.
The GPS becomes the cockpit for your golf round, and you are the pilot that controls the way it works.

To enter scores from the GPS, simply tap “Add Score” to access the score tracker display without leaving the GPS view. Choose between:
You can manage scores for yourself, or for up to 4 players all without leaving the GPS. This works for individual scoring, team based matches, leaderboards, and Ryder Cups.
It’s smooth, intuitive, and efficient.
We believe this is the most customizable and intuitive GPS in any golf app today. Whether you are chasing a new personal best, playing for fun with friends, or prepping for a tournament, this GPS fits the way you play. And it lays the foundation for an extremely smart, easy way for us to introduce additional tools and widgets.
